We offer a full range of splicing services, from double braid splices to tapers and core to core in high-tech line, also rope to wire and eye splices for dock lines. At OR&H all splices and bitter ends are whipped to ensure long life and ease of handling. For the racer we can set your boat up with the latest in tapered exotic halyards and sheets. Custom rope and leather work are also available.

SWAGING

With our mobile swage machine we can do most swaging on site for quick, convenient repairs. We can swage anything from 1/8" to 3/8", both lifeline fittings and rigging terminals.

MAST ELECTRICAL WORK

Whether you need new wiring run, or a complete overhaul of your masts' electrical systems, we can straighten it out. New marine grade cable, conduits, fixtures, wind instruments or thru deck glands - we can handle the job.

WINCHES

Whether it’s a rebuild or replacement, we can solve your winch problems. We service and install hydraulic and electric winches. Regular maintenance and lubrication of your winches will make an OCEAN of difference in their performance.

SPINNAKER POLES

LIFELINES

At OR&H we do lifeline repairs and replacements right at the dock, no need to take them off the boat. We can make them on-site to get a perfect fit. If you want to bring them in yourself, give us a call first and we’ll tell you how to label them and mark turnbuckle settings to ensure a perfect fit with your new lifelines.

RIGID VANG

A rigid boom vang system can be a simple fix to the problem of boom toppers that chafe your sails or while maintaining boom height during hoisting or reefing. ANCHOR WINDLASSES

The addition of an anchor windlass to any boat can simplify handling ground tackle and eliminate all the hard work of retrieving anchors. We specialize in hydraulic equipment and service most types of windlasses. OR&H can build custom bow rollers to optimize the storage position for anchors for safe storage and easy deployment, as well as rode/chain handling systems for your current locker. We can also discuss primary and secondary anchor configuration to allow for reliable anchoring in all situations. OR&H have worked on many anchor windlasses on small cruisers right up to 150’ superyachts both power and sail.

SAIL HANDLING SYSTEMS

Whether it’s coastal cruising or long distance extended cruising, efficient sail handling is important and necessary. OR&H can optimize your sail handling systems. We can set your boat up with anything from simple lazy jack systems to Stoway Mast sections or booms and external main furling systems. Also roller furling headsail systems and a wide variety of sheeting and control systems.

MARINE HYDRAULICS

OR&H staff have advanced certification for Lewmar Commander hydraulics which enable small crews to handle huge yachts by pushing buttons. We also sell and service Navtec hydraulic systems for large and small yachts. We have all the custom tooling and a test bench to make sure that your cylinder is repaired as Navtec would do it themselves. OR&H has a good working relationship with the engineers at Navtec and have worked on many custom projects both with hydraulics and rod rigging, some of which were on big superyachts. We are ready to travel to your yacht for any Lewmar or Navtec problems you may have.

HIGH TECH RUNNING RIGGING

Let OR&H bring your running rigging into the new millennium with high-tech running rigging. The new exotic lines allow for light-weight, low-stretch, high-strength sheets, guys, halyards, running backstays, and checkstays. We can set you up with tapered sheets and guys for your spinnaker that are light enough for light air sailing and strong enough for blows. We also make tapered halyards with replaceable ends so when your halyard wears on the sheave it can be repaired.
